I like to keep a few blue flies on me when I'm out fishing for trout and panfish. Perdigon fly patterns were really productive in 2020 and this one I was fishing near the end of the season with great success. If you don't have any Iris, there are several other products that work just as well. Even a couple strands of crystal flash will work in a pinch.
It looks like I got a little too generous with the Bone Dry and it seeped into the hook eye. No problem, just use a bodkin to clear the hole.
